How We Help You Feel Better, Inside and Out
At Be Well, we offer a combination of occupational therapy and holistic healing — including CranioSacral Therapy, dry needling, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage — designed to treat you as a whole person, not just a symptom. It matters because pain, anxiety, and daily struggles rarely stay in one lane; they affect how you move, how you feel, and how fully you show up in your own life. That's why our care benefits such a wide range of people: those managing chronic illness or autoimmune conditions, migraines, headaches, parents navigating pregnancy or postpartum recovery, children and adults with autism, anyone recovering from a concussion, and older adults who want to stay active and independent as they age—to name a few. After a session, most clients describe feeling lighter, calmer, and more at ease in their bodies — not just in the moment, but with practical tools to carry that relief forward long after they leave.

Craniosacral Therapy
-
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, light-touch therapy — about the pressure of a nickel — that works with your body's natural ability to heal itself. Even though the name references the skull ("cranio") and lower spine ("sacral"), because everything in the body is connected, CST is really a whole-body approach to health and balance.
-
Picture a deeply relaxing session where your mind and body get to fully let go. As I gently release areas of tension or restriction, you'll feel your body ease into a more relaxed, balanced state. The touch is light enough that nothing should ever feel painful — I'll work between your head and your lower back to help jump-start your body's own healing response, so you can move through life with less pain, less discomfort, and more ease.
-
Almost everyone. CST has been shown to help with:
Chronic headaches and migraines
Anxiety and depression
Low back pain and anxiety during and after pregnancy
Effects of concussions
Back, neck, and joint pain, and fatigue
Children and Adults with Autism

Dry Needling
-
Dry needling is a technique that uses thin, filament needles — the same type used in acupuncture — to target areas of muscle tension, tightness, or pain. Unlike acupuncture, dry needling is rooted in Western anatomy and physiology, and it's specifically used to release tight muscle bands, reduce pain, and restore normal movement. Ellie is AAMT-certified in dry needling for the upper extremities — the gold standard certification in the field.
-
Before we begin, I'll gently locate the areas that need attention and mark them with a skin-safe (and easy to remove) marker, so every needle placement is precise and intentional. Dry needling isn't meant to feel relaxing the way CST does — you should expect to feel your muscles react, and some sessions may be a bit uncomfortable in the moment. But it also shouldn't be unbearably painful. Most clients notice a release of tension shortly after, and while some mild soreness afterward is normal (similar to how a deep massage can feel the next day), it typically fades within a day or two, often leaving the area feeling looser and less restricted than before.
-
Dry needling can help with:
Headaches and migraines
Muscle tightness or pain
Athletes and Weightlifters
Carpal tunnel
Tennis or golfer's elbow
Shoulder and upper body pain or tightness
Cervicogenic headaches

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, hands-on technique that uses very light, slow, rhythmic strokes to encourage the movement of lymph fluid through the body's lymphatic vessels. The lymphatic system plays a key role in managing fluid balance and supporting the immune system, so when it's supported well, the whole body benefits. Ellie practices the Vodder technique — the gold-standard method of MLD — which is known for its precise, light-touch approach to working with the body's natural rhythms.
Please note: Manual Lymphatic Drainage using the Vodder technique, as offered at Be Well, is intended for general relaxation and wellness support. It is not a treatment for lymphedema or other medical lymphatic conditions, and our practitioners are not certified to provide lymphedema-specific care. If you have been diagnosed with lymphedema or a related condition, please consult a certified lymphedema therapist (CLT) for appropriate treatment.
-
MLD is one of the most relaxing techniques we offer — the pressure used is much lighter than a traditional massage, more like a gentle, gliding touch across the skin. Depending on the area being treated, you may be draped with a sheet or towel, with only the treatment area uncovered, so you can stay comfortable throughout. Most clients find sessions calming, almost meditative, as the slow, rhythmic strokes help the body shift into a more relaxed state. The goal is to reduce swelling, heaviness, and discomfort, so you can move through your day with more ease.
-
MLD can be helpful for anyone experiencing swelling, fluid retention, or a feeling of heaviness that limits comfortable movement — including after surgery or injury, during pregnancy or postpartum recovery, or simply as a way to support overall circulation and relaxation. Because it's so gentle, it's also a good option for clients who find deeper pressure techniques too intense but still want the benefits of hands-on, body-led care.

Telehealth & Custom Wellness Plans
$40 Per 30 Minute Session
Free 15 minute consultation included with every first-time in person service.
-
Telehealth and Custom Wellness Plans are consultative services designed to help you navigate your options and build a clear path forward — whatever stage of life you're in. Rather than a virtual version of in-person treatment, these sessions draw on Ellie's expertise and professional network to help you understand adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment (DME) needs, long-term care and aging-in-place planning, and how to connect with the right specialists. From there, we build a custom wellness plan tailored entirely to your goals — one that may also include access to our on-site gym to support lasting strength and independence.
-
These sessions are conversational rather than hands-on — think guided planning, not treatment. We'll talk through your specific situation, identify what resources and support already exist, and map out concrete next steps you can act on right away. Sessions can be done virtually for convenience, and you'll leave with a clear plan rather than a list of vague suggestions.
-
This service is a good fit for anyone who feels unsure where to start — whether you're exploring adaptive equipment for yourself or a loved one, planning ahead for aging in place, navigating a new diagnosis, or simply looking for a more personalized, structured wellness plan that fits your goals and lifestyle.
